There are three types of membership available - Affiliated Club, Constituent and Individual
AFFILIATED CLUB:
Clubs pay an annual fee that is set at the Annual General Meeting. The fee is due on 1st April each year.
The fee is $25.00 per club plus $3.00 per member 17 years and over. For example, a club with 25 members would be $25.00 plus $75.00, a total of $100.00. A list of members' names and addresses must be provided and updated when it changes. This list is solely for NZRC use and will not be disclosed to anyone else.
Within an affiliated club, only adults (17 years and older) can be NZRC members. However, having members under this age does not disqualify a club from affiliating - it simply means the younger members are not NZRC members.
At General Meetings, each affiliated club has one vote, which is exercised by a person nominated by the club. Proxy or Postal votes may be used by those unable to attend the meeting.
PUBLIC LIABILITY INSURANCE is now automatically included in your affiliation, and covers all those on your list of club members.
CONSTITUENT MEMBERSHIP:
Constituent membership may be granted by the National Committee to appropriate organisations, whether commercial or otherwise, e.g. riding schools, polytechnics, country clubs, etc. Constituent Members will observe the same rules and have the same rights and privileges as affiliated clubs.
Constituent membership fee is $85.00
INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSHIP:
An individual (17 years or older) may apply to the National Committee to join as an Individual Member. The National Committee has full discretion whether or not to accept such an application. Individual Members have all rights and privileges of membership except power to vote as members or to claim any share of property of the NZRC upon its dissolution.
Individual membership fee is $15.00
BRIDLEWAYS:
As a separate division of NZRC, membership of Bridleways is separate to membership of NZRC. NZRC members who wish to support Bridleways aims and objectives may choose also to belong to Bridleways. People and organisations may join Bridleways without joining NZRC.
Bridleways fee are: Individual $15.00
Family $20.00
Club $20.00
National Body $30.00
RIDERS ROUNDUP:
This is the bi-monthly newsletter of the NZRC and Bridleways. All clubs automatically receive one copy per 30 (or fewer) members. Extra copies can be ordered for $15.00 per year. Individual members of Bridleways also receive a copy.
