WELCOME AND OPEN MEETING: Welcome presentation by Liz from Taupo & Districts Riding club.

REPORTS:
PATRON: John Moore.
Tribute to former presidents Mr Brian Pyke and Mr Scal Sweetman and how Lorraine James, who was secretary at the time and a great worker helped to set up the Rules and Constitution. Members assured that the future of our organisation depends on a good keen National Committee and hopes that the committee can come up with ideas to build the dwindling numbers at AGM’s. Apology for not attending the AGM.
PRESIDENT: John Flintoff.
Explained how he was unable to attend once again and expressed his “Sincere” apologies as to 
circumstances beyond his control due to family surprise “40th” anniversary party. Thanks given to Helen Hansen for her role as Secretary, Bev for organising this AGM and Rosemary for chairing the meeting. Thanks were also given to the editor of our newsletter for giving both NITE and SITE good exposure and great photos along with other interesting events.

Thanked Coastal ARC etc for holding NITE 2008 and how well it went.
Explained when asked why “NZRC is not affiliated to the NZ Equestrian club”
NZRC are their own identity.

Apologised for not being involved in NITE 2008 due to contracting a “NORTH Island” virus and thanked

Coastal and New Plymouth & District RC for holding such a well organised and run event.

Reported on how well SITE 2008 was run in conjunction with Harris & Pegasus Trophy.

Helen thanked the NZRC committee etc for putting up with her over the past years. It has been a good 
learning curve but it was time to have new blood in to get things moving again.

Bev expressed her happiness and passion for this role. New pathways have been promised, with more to follow as funding allows. Members encouraged to share anything of interest through the website editor.

TRAINING COMMITTEE / EXAMINER: Evelyn Cooper
Riding and Road Safety book still underway and can be down loaded straight from the New Zealand Police web site when finished.
Module enquiry from Taranaki RC but went no further.
RIDERS ROUND-UP: Shontelle and Sheryl gave a verbal report on how the RRUp was going.

The need MORE information from clubs to put into the newsletter.

Clubs need to make changes etc to contact details and pass them onto them so there isn’t a problem with 
wrong information etc, people have to remember that others still can’t read minds.
